KABA-GA currently has 4 Committees: Programming, Communications, Solo/Small Firm and Law Student Outreach. Read about our committees, sign up, or provide feedback to our Committee Chairs!  NOTE: You should pay your KABA-GA dues before joining any committee.

The KABA-GA Programming Committee plans, organizes, and publishes newsletters about our events, such as happy hours, educational programming, volunteer events, mentor lunch series, and much more!

The KABA-GA Communications & Membership Committee is dedicated to unifying, strengthening, and enhancing the KABA-GA experience by connecting us together. We focus on building the KABA community, keeping members connected, and paving the way for future generations. Our ultimate goal is to ensure KABA fulfills its mission as a valuable resource to all its members.

The KABA-GA Young Lawyers Commitee was organized in 2019 to provide mentorship opportunities specifically for younger attorneys (1 - 5 years) to assist them as they advance in their legal careers. The YL Comm organizes a mentorship lunch series, leading to small or one-to-one mentorship pairings between mentees and experienced attorneys in various fields, including BigLaw, Solo/Small Firms, and government.

The KABA-GA Solo/Small Firm Committee was started in November 2018, with the goal of unifying the K-town attorneys and other Solo/Small Firms to provide networking and mentorship opportunities. In 2019, the SSF Comm began organizing a quarterly legal seminar series for outreach specifically to the Korean/American communities in the Duluth/Gwinnett area, which has a high concentration of our SSF members. Seminar topics have included immigration, real estate, and legal advice for small businesses. Seminar Sponsorships are available, and are publicized and marketed in Korean language newspapers and social media.

The KABA-GA Law Student Outreach (LSO) Committee focuses on developing relationships with local law schools and law students.  The Committee assists law students with exam studies, career advice, networking, job interviews, and internships.  Throughout the year, committee members get together over lunch or other meals to foster relationships and share their experiences.  Everyone is welcome to join us and participate in our events.  The 2019 LSO Committee is led by Yu Up Lee.  For more information, please contact LSOCOMM if you have suggestions or are interested in joining the committee: lso@kabaga.org.
